This position is responsible for analysis, design, development and implementation of Data Warehouse ETL processes and methodologies using INFORMATICA, DB2 UDB and UNIX along
with other tools and technologies. Specific duties could include the complete detail responsibility for one or more Data Warehouse sub-systems (e.g., student, financial).
Duties include giving direction and assistance to other personnel on assigned projects, assisting campus departments with their Data Warehouse-based information needs,
providing support for production systems. Development and support is performed on high-end server systems/databases using cutting edge technologies.
Duties
- Complete detail responsibility for one or more Data Warehouse sub-systems (e.g., student, financial)
- Give direction and assistance to other personnel on assigned projects
- Assist campus departments with their Data Warehouse-based information needs
- Provide support for production systems
Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge in data warehouse tools and technologies such as INFORMATICA, SQL, DB2 UDB and Unix. Understanding on web technologies such as XML, XSL and Perl.
- Proficiency in system analysis, design, development and implementation of Data Warehouse solutions.
- Ability to think independently to provide solutions and procedures for ETL processes.
- Ability to perform 24x7 production support activities, proven ability in production problem resolution.
- Experience in understanding user requirements and ability to work in team environment to accomplish project goals.
- Adaptable to new technologies and procedures. Experience with Autosys, Zena, Toad, Aqua Data and Control Center a plus.
